February 26th-27th took place in Seville, Spain the Displaced in Media HackCamp reuniting around thirty journalists, media activates and youth workers. The participants were divided in four different tables: Hack the Media, Media Activism, Political Impact and Expanded Education.
During the two days of encounter, the participants shared their experience and practices related to media literacy, the representation of the “new comers” in the media, the ways of documenting the work of the activist and the policy measures that can foster the inclusion of the “new comers” through media representation. Each group produced and presented an open source prototype answering to a need or question related to the theme of the table.
Next steps: June 14th-15th will take place in London, the Media Literacy conference.
